After the frustration of the cancellation of league fixtures last week, and their impact on an already elongated format of the East 2 season, Leith and Portobello lock horns this weekend in a first league game for each since October 29, when Portobello went to (then) league leaders Dalkeith and won impressively 49-33, while Leith went down 48-26 at current table-toppers, Broughton. Both teams will be eager to get back into league action as they chase the leaders, so here's hoping for sunnier climes.
This will be the first meeting of the near neighbours this season, and a tough encounter is expected, with Porty's results significantly improved since last term when Leith won both league fixtures, with a 38-22 win at Duddingston, including the BT Try of the Month September 2015, and an 18-7 triumph at home. Your support on the touchline at Academy Park will go a long way to helping the boys return to winning ways.
