The traditional President's Day derby fixture with Trinity Accies returns to Academy Park on Saturday, with both sides in need of points to keep pace with the sides above them as we head to the end of the first round of fixtures. With the exact composition of the post-Christmas fixtures still unknown, it remains important just to finish as high as possible. And that said - this could even end up the only Leith v Trinity game of the season.
Leith come into the game on a decent run, having won the last 3 league games, against RDVC, Dalkeith and Liberton last time out, while our visitors have enjoyed a better return from their first 12 fixtures, and sit 3 spots ahead of the Leithers in the table in 5th, albeit having played 1 extra game. Trinity will be looking to respond to a defeat in their own last league outing, a 24-10 home reverse to 3rd placed Langholm.
Your support at Academy Park in this 2pm KO will go a long way to getting the boys on their way to a much sought after win, having lost both Trinity fixtures term. See you there!
